Continuing Our
Commitment to Community
A Campaign For the May Dugan Center
For over 55 years the May Dugan Center has provided essential human services to the greater Cleveland community. We are known for quickly adapting to the changing needs of our clients and our community. As we plan for our future, it’s become clear that we’ve reached capacity and have done so at a historical time when so many people are struggling to meet their basic needs.
With the demand for our trauma sensitive programs and services experiencing exponential growth, and our need to scale and modernize our operations, the capital campaign was designed to:
-
Expand our current programs and services to meet the community needs
-
Renovate our existing space to provide a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment for everyone, especially for people who have experienced trauma.
-
Upgrade our building systems for modern service delivery (e.g., ADA compliance) to remove all barriers to utilizing our building and surrounding space
The May Dugan Center is a welcoming, safe space for all people - and no one in need is ever turned away. Help ensure that’s always the case by supporting our capital campaign today.
Our Impact
People needing our services are positively impacted by this campaign. We now have the physical capacity to serve more families, children, aging adults and people in need than we could before. The renovated and upgraded offices and common spaces provide the safe, welcoming and therapeutic environment that everyone deserves. Through streamlined and energy efficient design, we will see cost savings in building operation, which will allow us to invest more in our programming.
Our Goal
To provide an increase in services to our neighbors and the Cleveland Community!
To meet this goal, we raised $7.7 Million dollars that allowed us to renovate, replace and upgrade the building and its major systems. The result was a facility that enhances programming to meet the multitude of needs in the communities we serve. With your support we built on our strong track record of excellence and ensure this long-standing community asset remains for the next 55 years.
