2017 IRISH ROOTS FEST – A CELEBRATION OF THE MAY DUGAN CENTER

The May Dugan Center proudly hosted our fourth annual Irish Roots Fest – A Celebration of the May Dugan Center to honor the legacy and tradition of the namesake of our agency, the real May Dugan on June 23rd at Music Box Supper Club! The evening was filled with food, fun, and live music all for a great cause thanks to an AWESOME performance from THE 80’S ALTERNATIVE, one of Cleveland’s favorite 80’s cover bands.  Don’t forget to check out May Dugan Center’s Facebook Page for photos from the event and LIVE VIDEO from the band.

We would like to recognize and thank our Board of Directors, Planning Committee Members, Staff and Volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to make this year’s event such a great success, including all of our wonderful raffle prize, silent auction and wine pull donors.

Last but not least, we would like to give a special thanks to all our Friends and Neighbors that helped us celebrate this year as well as our Sponsors for their support of our Center and Mission, without them this event could not have happened!

Kemm didn’t back down.

2013 Annual Meeting

The Board of Directors and Executive Director, Rick Kemm, welcomed more than 50 individual supporters, donors, elected officials and community members to the 2013 meeting. The Honorable Judge Kathleen Keough swore in one new board member, Jasmin Santana, and reappointed three Members, Derrick English, Jr., Matthew Kosarko and Rick Weigle. Out-going Board President, Dr. Julie Rehm, introduced Patrick Reynolds as our newly elected president.

We were honored to have ADAMHS Board CEO, Bill Denihan, give this year’s remarks. His impassioned speech centered on the recent heroin epidemic and proposed cuts to community mental health/case management providers.

Following Mr. Denihan, The MDC Committee Chairs reported on the successes of each department. Four individuals received this year’s “Piece of the Rock” Award for their outstanding commitment and dedication to the May Dugan Center. Congratulations to this year’s recipients: Joseph Barna, SIOR; Thomas Stickney, Esq.; Councilman Brian Cummins; and Sue Marasco, Ph.D. In addition, Bruce Smith, Sue Nerlinger and Julius Nuriddin were awarded with our community service awards. The meeting concluded and attendees were treated to a delicious meal provided by Bruno’s Ristorante.
