The impact May Dugan Center has on the community is seen through our work here each day. Below are some facts and figures highlighting significant improvements made within the community.
2010 Statistics for May Dugan Center Programs and Services:
· Information & Referral Services: Over 8,000 individuals made contact with the Center for one or more of our services.
· 5,266 individuals were served through our Food & Clothing Distribution and Farmers Market Program. This was a 19% increase over 2009.
· 2,221 individual referrals were made to May Dugan by United Way’s First Call for Help Program. Nearly 100 were Senior Citizens.
· 1,348 units of Case Management and Counseling were provided to 233 new clients.
· 487 units of service were provided to 68 individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
· 244 Pregnant and Parenting Adolescent Women received assistance totaling 8,784 units of service.
· 190 individuals benefited from our annual Adopt-A-Family project.
· 160 individuals received academic advising for GED, ESOL & higher education opportunities, totaling 608 units of service.
· 154 individuals volunteered for one or more projects.
· 115 adults enrolled in our GED Program.
· 40 adults enrolled in our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Program.
· 77 clients received assistance through our partnership with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland.
· 32 young adult couples participated in the Strong Start Program.
· 31 families received goods from our furniture bank.
· 31 community service workers provided nearly 1,000 hours of labor.
· Narcotics Anonymous continues to meet on a weekly basis in our community room.
