Rick Kemm joined the May Dugan Center as Executive Director in 2008, bringing 30 years of experience in the non-profit sector at the leadership and management levels.
Prior to joining the Center, Rick was Director of Development for nearly seven years at the Eliza Bryant Village, and was responsible for all fund-raising activities. He also directed and coordinated grant proposals to foundations that secured private funding to support programming at three HUD approved senior housing units.
Rick’s experience also includes: leadership and management level positions with United Way of Greater Cleveland (Community Investment and Resource Management); Director of Program Development at the American Red Cross Cleveland Chapter; Area Coordinator at Housing Opportunities, Incorporated; and the Director of Housing in the Counseling Department
at Brothers Redevelopment, Inc. in Denver, Colorado.
Rick’s many community volunteer roles included co-chairing the 2008 United Way Long Term Care Campaign and serving as a Governor of the ADAMHS Board of Cuyahoga County. His awards include:

- American Red Cross “Ten by Ten” Award
- Elizabeth Dole Presidential Scholar Award
Rick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado, and a Masters in Non-Profit Management from the Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management.
Finance Director
David Hanick, Certified Public Accountant
David Hanick, a Certified Public Accountant for over 30-years, has played an integral role in founding, building and growing accounting and finance teams.
Following his graduation from Bowling Green State University with a master’s degree in Accountancy in 1974, Hanick began his career in Cleveland, Ohio as an accountant with a Ernst & Ernst and was promoted to senior manager within six years.
In 1984 he joined National City Bank in Cleveland where he held various management positions including Controller and Chief Financial Officer. In 1990, he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer of National City Corporation’s Wealth Management Division.
In 2003, he became Equity Trust Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure, the company reached significant sales and profitability milestones and became one of the country’s leading IRA custodians.
He left Equity in March 2008, and formed his own consulting practice. There, he provided management consulting services to IRA custodians, focusing on startup feasibility studies, state trust company charter processes, strategic planning and early-stage operational issues.
In October 2011, Hanick joined the May Dugan as its finance director. He also serves as Chief Financial Officer of the West Side Catholic Center.

Development Associate
Dominick Grassi
Dominick Grassi joined the May Dugan Center as Development Associate in April, 2011. In this capacity, he reports directly to the Executive Director and plays a significant role in all fundraising and development activities for the agency. Dominick’s major responsibilities include: Managing May Dugan’s Individual, Foundation and Corporate, Civic & Faith Based donor databases, Grant Writing and Cultivating Individual donor and Foundation relationships. In addition, he produces and coordinates all other marketing material for the agency such as the May Dugan Journal, Annual Appeal letters and assists the Executive Director with all other fundraising related special events and projects.
Prior to joining the May Dugan Center, Dominick worked as the Program Development Coordinator at Catholic Charities of Portage County. In this role, he developed and coordinated all special events and projects for the agency, prepared agency reports to the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and served as the liaison between Catholic Charities and other non-profits in Portage County.
Dominick graduated from Kent State University in the fall of 2009 where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and minored in Political Science.
Director of Operations
Blanca Figueroa has been with the May Dugan Center since 2007. She serves as the Director of Operations and reports directly to the Executive Director. In this role, she oversees the maintenance technicians, provides assistance on tenant relations, and assists with building operations. She also assists with the preparation of board related activities and co-staffs the building committee, which includes trustees and community volunteers.
She is the acting bilingual liaison for the Center’s Latino clients. As the Strong Start Coordinator, Blanca manages all aspects of the program, including recruitment, intake, and case management. As the Case Manager for walk-in clients, she provides assistance with employment and housing, especially for Spanish Speaking clients.
Blanca also manages the Food and Clothing Distribution program, the annual Adopt-A-Family project, and furniture donations with St. Ignatius High School. In addition, she provides assistance to the 21st Century grant program.
Prior to joining the Center, Blanca was a Prevention Specialist/Case Manager/Fiscal Assistant at the Hispanic UMADOAP in Cleveland. In Los Angeles, she trained new employees and created curriculum for current staff at Countywide Home Loans, was a Senior Program Leader with Parks and Recreation, and served as an intern at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
Blanca graduated from Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California. She earned an Associates of Liberal Arts & Sciences Degree, with a focus in Communications and Political Science. While earning her degree, Blanca served as President of the Latino Student Union.
MomsFirst Coordinator
Bridjetta Levison

Bridjetta Levison has been the MomsFirst Coordinator at the May Dugan Center since 2008. She supervises four Community Health Workers; prepares grantee reports; conducts chart audits; determines appropriate documentation of risk assessments; personally interacts with program
participants; and plans and coordinates Peer Advisory and Teen Summit.
Her prior experience includes: Case Manager/Supervisor at the Green Valley Neighborhood House MomsFirst program; Community Health Worker at Garden Valley; and Data Entry Supervisor at the Neighborhood Centers Association. She also served as Administrative Assistant at the May Dugan Center, prior to being hired as a program coordinator. Bridjetta is working towards a Masters in Psychology. She earned a Bachelor of Applied Science, with a major in Business Information Systems, from DeVry University and an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Remington College.
Case Manager / Historian
Carol Romano

Carol Romano has been with the May Dugan Center since 1978 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. She has 32 years of experience in interacting with people of diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and provides much historical perspective to the Center’s programs and services.
Carol conducts pre-screenings and intakes; interviews program participants and collects information to determine need for goal setting; monitors clients’ progress toward goals; assists clients with applications for assistance from government agencies; prepares and submits monthly reports; establishes relationships with other community agencies; and manages her caseload.
Carol is a graduate of West Technical High School and takes continuing Education classes in social service courses at Cuyahoga Community College and Cleveland State University.
