Want to get involved?

From volunteering to donating clothing or household good to  monetary support, there are many ways to support our community

The May Dugan Center’s Capital Campaign and Renovation will enable MDC to serve more people in our community through the updated and expanded space. Below are highlights on how the program will positively impact our community and those in need:

  • Food Distribution: Triple the size of the food pantry, enabling the program to serve up to 370,000 more meals per year.

  • Trauma Recovery Center: Facilitate the expansion of the program to all Five Cleveland Police Districts and provide services to 2,100 victims of crime.

  • Behavioral Health Services: Create additional therapy rooms for therapists to see up to 225 more clients per year, bringing the annual total to over 700 people.

  • Education and Resource Center: Allowing the program to provide adult education and workforce development in a state-of-the-art, trauma-informed environment, including the new Testing Center for GED and other standardized test taking.

  • Accessibility: Update the facility to be ADA compliant--making the center accessible to all.

  • Welcoming: Utilize Trauma-Informed Care principles in building and interior design to create spaces that are sensitive and supportive of people who’ve experienced trauma.

  • Environmental Sustainability: Secure LEED Certification for project, including updated HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Systems
